
Central was a ‘house divided’ today as students and staff supported their favorite team in anticipation of tomorrow’s game.




Kindergarteners have been using the power of their imaginations to make toys!





If your child had a weak appetite this evening, or maybe even seemed a bit sleepy, it was likely for good reason. Students feasted today during our new food service team's first annual Thanksgiving Lunch. What a meal!





Save the Date: Our next family skate party is scheduled for Sunday, January 26, 2020 from 11 am -1 pm.




We had an absolute blast at Jumpin' Jupiter yesterday evening. Thank you, families, for joining the fun!





Carson Bond served as the principal's shadow yesterday. His favorite part of the day involved giving out Rocket Slips to others. He had a sharp eye for those practicing Integrity!




2nd graders in Mrs. Mason's classroom packaged the blinking green lights that will soon be distributed to every bus rider and every walker in the district. Parents, thank you for helping us "light up the wait" and keep students safe!



Reminder: Central Elementary Family Skate Night is this evening at Jumpin’ Jupiter from 5:00-7:00 pm. We hope to see you there for the fun!

The Conquerors Strength Team inspired Central students and staff today. The feats of strength were great, but the strength of the message (hard work, perseverance, kindness) was even stronger.





Please help welcome Angela Davis to Reeths-Puffer. Big things are on the horizon with Angela now leading Central’s World Language program, and our Specials are at full strength!



First significant snowfall of the 2019-2020 school year! With the weather changing, please be reminded to send your child to school prepared for the elements.



Friday Read Aloud. We had so many volunteers today we utilized all the big spaces available, including the library and gymnasium. Thank you for celebrating reading and enhancing our literacy rich community!





Kindergarteners moved pallets and prepared the area for the compost station that will be built this weekend. In the meantime, they've already started adding food waste.





Here's a few pictures of Halloween fun from yesterday. So many awesome costumes. The wet and cold didn't put a damper on Central one bit!





DK students used their 5 senses to investigate pumpkins. They labeled a pumpkin using new vocabulary words, got their hands dirty trying to clean out the pulp and seeds, and certainly made the classroom smell like pumpkin all day.



Smiles have been abundant this week. The Kindergarten trips to Weesies were certainly a highlight of some fall fun!



Our 2nd Grade had a blast yesterday at Heritage Farms. What a tight-knit group of friends!


Guests visited our 2nd grade today to share their experiences in Haiti. Students were able to compare and contrast Haiti schools to ours. They are working on a Brainframe and will soon finish the unit with a writing piece.




It was a great Monday with Mia Hanichen shadowing the principal. She had a sharp eye for recognizing the Rocket Way behaviors of others while spending time in classrooms and on the playground.




Pete the Cat's visit to Central Elementary made for a super groovy Friday for our K-1 kiddos! Thank you Muskegon Area District Library.
