4th grade students had a visit from the Lakeshore Museum Center this morning. Students learned about magnets, how they interact with the world around them, and how they can be used to solve every day problems.

On “Waste Free Wednesdays” Mrs. Sandee’s class encourages students to pack a waste free lunch with a goal of reducing Central’s contributions to landfills. Through recycling and composting, we’ve reduced the amount of garbage by 80% on Wednesdays from the cafeteria.

Some made it crazy, some made it sweet. Others matched holiday hair with holiday feet!
Our second graders rose to the challenge of collecting for Toys for Tots. Together, they were able to collect 82 items. As a district, we were able to donate 691 items!
Matthew VerHulst shadowed the principal today. He enjoyed visiting his teachers of previous years, grubbing a footlong sub, and doubling down on good behavior with time in the gym with a friend.
