Most Americans already received their stimulus payments and the 2021 Child Tax Credit, but for eligible people who don’t normally file tax returns, it’s not too late to claim these benefits from the #IRS.

This week in sports

Students in Criminal justice worked hard to prepare opening/closing statements, witness questions, cross examinations, and more as lawyers and witnesses in a mock trial. The trial came to an end last week with the judge, jury, and bailiff coming to a decision on second degree murder and hazing of our defendant. The students blew it out of the water and did an AMAZING job. EVERY student got into their roles! It was awesome to see and so much fun.

The learning that happens when you mix 5th and 6th grade students together with seniors to talk about future career options is pretty special.
RPI came with great questions and engagement.
RPHS 12th grade students did a great job or researching and presenting about future career options.
This little spot in Rocket City was bursting with energy, hope, vision, and drive yesterday.
Great job to all involved in the partnsership!

Yesterday, we had a great visit with Molly Kennedy, a nationally recognized speaker and author.
Molly spoke with our students about resilience and “flipping their 20”. Her message was clear that, no matter what someone is going through, you are never alone.
This opportunity was brought to us by Muskegon Rotary and the RPHS Interact club.
What a great opportunity to reflect!

Reeths-Puffer Schools will be closed Friday, November 18 due to weather conditions.

Senior Parents- FAFSA is complicated and we are here to help!
REMINDER- we will be holding another FAFSA night tonight at 7:00. The time has been pushed back from originally 6:00pm. Hopefully this gives everyone some time to support our Marching Band during their stadium echoes performance tonight as well.
You will need tax information and both student/parent social security numbers to accurately fill out the FAFSA. Please let me know if you are planning to attend and if you have any questions regarding the event or application process!

Put it on your calendars. Light show on December 17th. Support our students and support the Muskegon Rescue Mission.
While the pandemic made connection more challenging, the light show started to bring people together. It is now a Rocket City tradition.

In World History, our students are applying their learning to create escape room clues. Beyond the content, students are also practicing skills to be better collaborators, communicators, problem solvers, and critical thinkers. Their creativity is quite amazing.

So many great theater opportunities to experience Alice In Wonderland!

The Leadership class would love your help. Students serving students makes RPHS a great place!
