It was a great day to bring 44 RPHS Art students to downtown Grand Rapids for the annual Art Prize Show! Students were able to view hundreds of works of art and interact with artist from all over the world. They represented Rocket City amazingly!
We are so proud of our band students and directors. After placing 2nd in class 2A, and qualifying for finals performance, our marching Rockets took 9th overall this past weekend.
Beyond performing, our band students are demonstrating skills for success such as collaboration, problem-solving, empathy, communication, and self-awareness.
We are so proud of their hard work.
Environmental Science students used quadrat sampling today to determine the biodiversity of different areas around the school.
Rehearsal went great and we are ready for an amazing graduation at 6:25 tonight.

Happy Spring! Due to inclement weather, with “feels like” temperatures in the 20s and soggy field conditions, we are canceling today’s JV and Varsity baseball and softball games.
The softball games vs. Grand Haven have been rescheduled for Thursday, April 17.
The baseball games vs. Traverse City Central are yet to be rescheduled.
Track and soccer events are still on as planned for today.

On April 16 at 7 PM, the In Our Eyes documentary will premiere at the Frauenthal Theater in downtown Muskegon.
This film tells the story of the Reeths-Puffer Marching Band through the eyes of its members, capturing the dedication, challenges, and lifelong impact of being part of something bigger than yourself.

Some of the members of our theater arts program had the opportunity to attend the Michigan Thespian Festival this weekend and had a great time! The students were able to experience up to 8 different workshops, watch two mainstage shows and a student showcase, and receive information about college fine arts programs.
Charles Jones received superior ratings for his performance of "Diva's Lament" from the musical, Spamalot. Avery Luna received superior ratings for her contrasting monologues "Beauty and Perfection" and "Ice Queen" from Flowers in the Desert. All students represented the Reeths-Puffer community well.
Reeths-Puffer began an International Thespian troupe in May of 2022 and is has allowed for great opportunities for our students to continue to grow their love of theater.
Yesterday, our Madrigals had a magical learning opportunity.
We’re honored to be the first high school ensemble to perform a stunning piece by composer Sam Schiebe, inspired by a poem by Emily Dickinson.
Sam joined us via Zoom to listen and offer feedback—it was a truly inspiring, goosebump moment! He shared more about the intention of the piece. We’re so proud of our students and can’t wait to share this incredible music with you tonight.
