The Message below pertains to the high school boys basketball program. Hello Rockets, what a fun start to the season!  We are scheduled to play at Wyoming tomorrow, Friday 1/7/22 and we are excited to start OK Green play!  Please note the following mask mandate and requirements for Wyoming public schools and keep in mind that we will honor and abide by hosting school's mask policies.  All non-active participants will be masked at Wyoming.  Meaning, fans, coaches, and players not actively playing (those on the bench) will wear masks.  Thanks, stay well, and GOOOO Rockets!

Happy New Year Rocket Football Family!!! What an incredible start to 2022! We are so excited to introduce Cody Kater as the head football coach of the Reeths-Puffer Rockets football program. You are invited to a “Program Meet and Greet,” with Coach, Monday, January 3rd in the Reeths-Puffer High School Cafeteria at 5:45 PM. This will be a brief opportunity for players, families, and community members to meet Coach Kater, he will introduce himself and share his vision for the program. Immediately following the meet and greet, Coach will invite all 7th-11th grade football players into the library media center for a player/coach meeting. After an exhaustive search and conversations with an incredibly deep and an outstanding candidate pool it became clear that Coach Kater was OUR guy. Coach Kater loves to compete, loves to prepare, and loves his athletes. We are so excited to have Coach Kater lead our young men and our football program. Coach has a well articulated plan for a comprehensive program with articulated checkpoints for the development of our athletes' youth through varsity. This vertical alignment will surely lead to sustainable success and growth for our football program. There is no doubt that he will continue to grow our program, serve our student athletes, and foster excitement throughout all of our community. Coach Kater will surely bring a winning culture to Reeths-Puffer. During Coach Kater’s six years at Montague he was instrumental in leading the Wildcats to four conference championships, five district championships, three regional championships, two appearances in the state championship game, and one state championship. As the offensive coordinator and quarterback coach, Coach Kater had every offensive position named to all-conference, all-area, and to all-state teams highlighting THREE DIFFERENT quarterbacks being named to an all-state team (three different quarterbacks in six years). GO ROCKETS!!!

Rocket Dawg of the week!!!! Congratulations to Arriona Williams. Coach Walker shared “Arriona’s ability to apply pressure on the ball defensively is on another level. She has truly been one of the reasons that we have been so successful in our first two games. She has shown so much leadership this year with her ability to use and take constructive criticism to both learn and challenge her teammates to develop into becoming better players. The way she plays in practice is the way she plays in games. Arriona always leads by example with her consistent work ethic…Always trying to win every competition. She is setting the tone for the R-P Basketball Program. Great work Arriona and thanks to the boosters for the t-shirt.
