The K Team shared students for a Fun Friday that included group games, water color painting, and a dance party!




Students shared a collective CRUNCH during the Great Lakes Apple Crunch this afternoon, a celebration of nutrition, local apples, and farm to food education!





Nic Carlson earned a social media shout out for the Rocket Way consistently on display. He wants to wish the entire R-P community a happy October and a joyful fall.


Second grade students in Mrs. Birr's and Miss Nauta’s classes create a Brain Frame at the Lakeshore Museum to capture their Big Lesson day 2 noticings.
So far, they’ve explored Muskegon history at the Museum Center, Fire Barn, and Hackley and Hume Historic Sites.





First grade teachers use collaborative learning, team challenges, and curriculum texts to guide their students in embracing habits of character, such as initiative, collaboration, and perseverance.





Last week concluded our annual R-P Engaging Families in Literacy series, a four-session workshop designed to help preschool and kindergarten families learn how to support literacy by including it in everyday life. We had a great turnout this year! Thank you, families, for joining the literacy fun. Special thanks to Nancy Jaskiw for facilitating an awesome series.

The American Rescue Plan Act contains relief provisions for individual taxpayers, including some significant changes to the Child Tax Credit.
The Advance Child Tax Credit is not just available to taxpayers with children that file tax returns, but also to people with children who have low or no income.
To qualify for Advance Child Tax Credit payments, individuals must:
· Have a main home in the United States for more than half the year; and
· Have a qualifying child who is under age 18 at the end of 2021 and who has a valid Social Security number; and
· have earned income less than Modified Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) of:
$75,000 or less for singles,
$112,500 or less for heads of household and
$150,000 or less for married couples filing a joint return and qualified widows and widowers
If you don't file a federal income tax return, you can still receive this credit! Use the Child Tax Credit Non-filer Sign-up Tool available on IRS.gov.

Advanced Child Tax Credit payments are not considered income and will not affect your access to government benefits like SSI, SNAP, TANF or WIC. See #IRS info at https://go.usa.gov/x6fyE
