Our students got to practice many of the skills they are learning at Russ' this morning. It is always great with learning occurs in authentic ways outside of the walls of the classroom. Thank you Russ' for being a great partner!

💚 We are still thrilled from last week's incredible performance of Matilda! 🚀 A huge shout out to the amazing backstage stagecraft team and pit who made the magic happen behind the scenes. From that changes to lighting, props to sound… Your hard work, creativity, and precision brought the entire show to life in ways the audience may not always see, but absolutely feels. 📸 Lighting doesn't always cooperate with great backstage photos, but we wanted to give a shout out to this amazing dedicated and passionate crew.

Last week, the Carpenters Local Union visited campus with the mobile
Schools to Tools fieldtrip. Students gained awareness of career opportunities in the construction trades and apprenticeship programs.

Congratulations to our Underwater Robotics Team!

Saturday, three teams competed in underwater robotics at the University of Michigan. These teams included: The team of Marley Church (HS Stock division) - a rookie team, assisted by Cooper Ross. The team of Grace Cosens, April Thompson, and Arvid Sias (Open division). The team of Brayden Ross, Trent Plummer, and Cooper Ross (HS Stock division).

The competition consists of an obstacle course, missions course, engineering technical document, and real-world application.
Marley placed fifth in the missions course. Grace, April and Arvid placed third in obstacle, third in missions, second in tech design report, first in real-world, and third place overall. Brayden, Trent, and Cooper placed first in obstacle, second in technical design report, fourth in missions, second in real-world, and first place overall (and are qualified to attend the International Competition, held at the University of Maryland the weekend of May 30 and 31).

🎭💚🚀Our theater students enjoyed a great experience together last week at a live performance of Kimberly Akimbo! The experience sparked thoughtful conversations about storytelling, character, and the power of live theater. 🎭💚🚀We are grateful for the chance to enjoy meaningful arts experiences beyond the classroom.

Help us give a huge shout out to our robotics teams that got to compete Saturday. There is offensive strategy, defense, teamwork, and collaboration with other schools. So much fun! Congrats Max, Nicholas, Carter, Eli, Brayden, Parker, Aiden, Marley, and Eli.

Due to adverse road conditions that are deteriorating by the minute, all basketball games for today (1/16/26) have been cancelled, including our girls games at home and boys games at Caledonia.
