Our 8th Grade Rocket Volleyball team had a great day on Saturday at the Rocket Invite. The team came in 4th overall after finishing with an overall set record of 6-2 on the day and barely falling short against top competition in the Gold Bracket.

Cross Country competed last night and it was a hot one. Both boys and girls ran well despite the conditions. Leaving with new personal best times were: Hope Latsch, Molly Matz, Keeley Cole, Ava Turnage, Jolienne Glassner, Kristian Brown, Landon Frazier, Jeffery Church and Murry Kuipers. Way to go Rockets!

The 7th grade football team traveled to West Ottawa last night and came away with their 4th win of the season. They defeated the panthers 20-0. Bryce Muskovin returned the opening kickoff to start the scoring. JC Tornes added another two touchdowns later in the game. The defense was led by Braylon Swain coming away with 3 sacks on the night. The 7th grade will look to stay undefeated as they travel to Hudsonville next week.

The 8th grade football team traveled to West Ottawa last night and earned their first victory of the season 18-16. The Rockets dominated the time of possession in the game. The offensive line dominated from the start to the finish. Opening the scoring for the Rockets was Waylon Kevern with a safety. Scoring touchdowns for the Rockets was Owen Ritsema and Cal Millis. Adding two PAT kicks was Owen Ritsema. Marvin Moore had an interception. The defense shut down West Ottawa in the last few seconds to secure the win. The Rockets will travel to Hudsonville next week. Great job!

The 8th grade football team traveled to Sailor country last night and came up short 39-22. Scoring for the Rockets were Cohen Beck and Cal Millis on touchdown runs. Marvin Moore was led by great blocks on the kick off return to close out the scoring. Owen Ritsema added two PAT kicks. Landon Wagner recovered a fumble. The Rockets will travel to West Ottawa next Tuesday.

The 7th grade earned their 3rd win of the season last night by beating Mona Shores 32-0. Connor Charnes led a strong offensive line allowing big plays by JC Tornes, Bryce Muskovin, Tre Foster, and Connor McManus. The 7th grade is away next week against West Ottawa.

The 8th grade football team hosted Grand Haven last night and came up short 24-14. Scoring for the Rockets were Cal Millis and Owen Ritsema with rushing touchdowns. Owen Ritsema also added a PAT kick for the Rockets. Cal Millis recovered a fumble.

The 7th grade football team improved to 2-0 on the season with a 39-12 victory over Grand Haven. Leading a solid defensive were Brayen Sorensen and Braylen Swain. Offensively big runs were scored by JC Tornes, Bryce Muskovin, and Tre Foster. Connor McManus also had a great touchdown catch with Easton Roberts laying a huge block down the field. The Rockets will look to get another victory next week as they take on the Sailors of Mona Shores.

RP Cross Country was back in action last night. Both boys and girls ran very well. The ladies beat Mona Shores but fell just short of beating Grand Haven. Setting new personal records were Jersi Bilek, Sophia McCollum, Hope Latsch, Mallorie Messer, Molly Matz, Avery Cooper, Julia Darling, Keeley Cole, Joslynn Wynsma, Landon Fraizer, Murry Kuipers and Jeffery Church. Way to go Rockets!

7th grade volleyball lost to Holland Christian last night. Leading server was Makenzie Jacobs. Leading passers for the night were Wren Trykstra, Grace Tindall, and Braylee Trepanier. 8th grade volleyball played a hard fought match, but ended up losing to Holland Christian last night. Leading servers were Jayla Trepanier with 4 points/8 aces and Emma Lamphere with 2 aces. Leading passers were Abby Hill, Jayla Trepanier, and Danika Johnson. Great job ladies!!

The Reeths-Puffer Cross Country team had a strong performance in their first meet of the season. The Rocket Ladies had some exceptional performances in the JV race, including Mallorie Messor in 2nd, Kaitlyn Durow in 10th, and Bella Cole in 16th. The Varsity Girls took 4th place with Jersi Bilek finishing 3rd overall. Also scoring for the ladies were Gracie Callander, Gabrielle Chevez, Darcy Keefe and Hope Latsch. The Rocket Boys put in great work last night as well, finishing 6th. Leading the way was Jack Yonkman who finished 13th overall. Helping the boys score points was Beckett Mathes, Dylan Sturr, Kristian Brown and Kaden Vanderlaan. Way to go Rocket Cross Country!

The 7th grade football team came out strong yesterday with an opening season 26-6 victory over the Muskegon Big Reds. The defense led the way with relentless pressure and pursuit from Joey Hall, Lyric Stewart, and Connor McManus. This led the way for the offense to score four times throughout the game. Strong play from the offensive line allowed JC Tornes to score twice as well as long runs from both Bryce Muskovin and Tre Foster. The Rockets will look to go for another win next week at home against Grand Haven.

The 8th grade football team opened up their season against the Muskegon Big Reds football team. The Rockets struggled to get things going and fell 42-0 to a talented Muskegon team. Please come out and support them next Wednesday against Grand Haven.
