Rocket Dawg of the week! Jordan Bochenek, as shared by Coach Attig.
Jordan Bochenek continues to do whatever is needed. On Tuesday he started at designated hitter, then pitched then played 2B, right field, then…. “oh ya, hey I need you to catch now.’ Jordan just nods his head and goes where he can help the team win. He gives this team max effort, game in and game out, no matter where he plays. I could throw stats out but this goes beyond stats it is truly about the team and accomplishing the team goals that we set at the beginning of the season. Without Jordan being so willing to fill the role of utility player and willing to hit 2nd, 7th or 9th we, as a team would struggle to fill those gaps. This senior class, which includes Jordan has established the bar for this baseball program moving forward. Their work ethic and willingness to be selfless for the team is a standard that they have set for years to come. Jordan is that selfless team first player and it shows game in and game out. I appreciate him more than he knows. he is the epitome of the "Rocket Dawg"!
Thanks Jordan, thanks for the kind words, and thank you to our boosters club for the awesome shirts.

Kaylee Jones Rocket Dawg of the week!
Coach Sarah Bayle had the following to say
At our game against Zeeland East on Tuesday, Kaylee went 3 for 5 in Game 1 and 4 for 4 in Game 2. A 778 average between both games and a good average for softball is about .300!! Between her 7 hits, Kaylee had 5 singles, 1 double, 1 triple, scored 5 runs, had 5 stolen bases and no errors in the field.
Kaylee is one of the hardest working players I've ever coached. Kaylee has so much heart and grit for the game of softball that you can see it all over her face, in her body language, and her mannerisms on and off the field. Kaylee is a great teammate and is always working to be better for herself and for her team! Kaylee is one of the most consistent and focused players on the team when she's at the plate and in the field. I'm so excited I'm getting to coach Kaylee for the second year and still get two more years with her after this! Kaylee is a great player and teammate and I cannot wait to continue to watch her as she grows over the next few years. The sky's the limit with this kid!
Thanks to our boosters club for the awesome shirt

Rockets win 14-13 over Zeeland East, this after a 19-8 win yesterday… these are baseball scores! Game 3 starting now. Go Rockets!

Rockets win! Lacrosse 🥍 8-5 over Jenison and soccer ⚽️ 2-1 over Western Michigan Christian! Great day to be a Rocket 🚀

The first Rocket Dawg of the week for Spring Sports is Kennedy Hynde, Coach Vasquez had the following to say about Kennedy:
This past week in our first game back from break Ken set a school record with 13 Draw controls. To put this in some sort of context, 4 draw controls a game is average. She added 2 goals and 2 assists in the win against Jenison.
Ken is the ultimate teammate, player and an absolute joy to coach. Voted by her peers as one of 3 captains, Ken is a leader on and off the field. Always positive even if things aren't going well, Ken... never...ever....quits. She will do anything to make her teammates better. Ken is almost too unselfish which is something I've never had to say about someone. I am lucky to be able to coach Ken. I'm not sure how to phrase this but I'll try. Kennedy is one of my favorite humans! Along with her great personality is her strong work ethic in the classroom and on the field.. Those 2 attributes will take Ken a long way in life!
Thank you Kennedy for being You!! And thank you to our boosters program for the awesome shirt.
