
With fall study trips off the table, K-1 teachers brought the pumpkin patch to the kids!

Pat with the Lakeshore Museum Center visits our 4th Grade classrooms virtually to explore Michigan animals, specifically the physical and behavioral adaptations they use to survive various habitats.

Rocket Virtual students, don’t forget to use your math skills to estimate how many apples are in the bucket. Send your guess to your RV mentor by Wednesday. The closest without going over gets the apples!!!


Rowdy Rocket visits Central Elementary on Fan Friday to cap off an awesome spirit week. GO ROCKETS!!!





Heidi Frei, a forester from the Michigan DNR met with Mrs. Sandee’s class virtually to discuss the importance of planting trees in Muskegon in preparation for an upcoming tree planting project. The class was awarded grant money from the Arconic Foundation and the Great Lakes Stewardship Initiative to give the project roots.

The CRUNCH heard around Rocket City!
To promote healthy eating and celebrate farm to school purchasing, Central students and staff participated in the 2020 Michigan Apple Crunch. At precisely 2:00 PM today, we joined in a school-wide first bite.





Opportunity October: Getting more books in the hands of kids with our new mobile library! Things may look a little different this year, but they’re still awesome!

Reminder: Picture Day is tomorrow during the school day for F2F students grades K-2, and for Rocket Virtual students (K-4) from 5:00-7:00 PM. Picture Day for F2F students grades 3-4 is Friday during the school day.

A few highlights from what's been a super fun Silly September. Enjoy reading a recipe and cooking this evening, and finish the month strong tomorrow by writing a silly story to celebrate your reading. We look forward to sharing October Reading Month information soon.
