Hello to all of our Twin Lake Families!
Welcome back! We are excited for the start of the 2026-2027 school year! The entire Twin Lake team has been working really hard this summer to prepare for our Open House and the first day of school.
Open House Information: August 19th from 5:30 - 6:30 PM. Please enter through the front doors (near the library.) If you have completed the PowerSchool Parent Portal update, you may then report to your child’s classroom. We will have the following teams available for our open house:
Our transportation team for busing questions
Our food service team for nutrition information
Our PTO – Please sign up for volunteer opportunities!
Help with the Parent Portal set up
Our amazing office team will be here to drop off any missing paperwork and answer any questions you may have.
Please remember that you MUST complete the Demographic Update on your Parent Portal first.
Teacher Placement Information / DEMOGRAPHIC UPDATE:
All R-P Elementary Schools will not be sending teacher placements via the U.S. Mail. You must complete the Demographic Update to view your child's teacher name. (Kindergarten teachers may be subject to adjustments - we will have official names at Kinder Kamp.) If you already have a parent account set up in the Parent Portal, go to https://ps-rp.muskegonisd.org/public and log in to complete the necessary forms for each student. If you do not have an account, please follow the directions on the sheet that is included.
First Week of School:
Monday 8/24 through Friday 8/28 are all half days, 8:45-12:00. You can begin to drop off your student at 8:25 am for Free Breakfast if you wish.
Tuesday 8/31 is our first full day of school, 8:45-3:45.
Friday 9/4 and Monday 9/7, No School - Labor Day Holiday
Kinder Kamp Information:
This is for our DK and K students only.
Monday, August 17 - 9:00am - 11:30am
DK and K students will come to school to practice all of the fun events of a school day before the rest of the students are in the building.
Access codes for PowerSchool for new dk/ Kindergarten students will be shared at Kinder Kamp.
We are here to help! Feel free to call the office at 231-719-3190, if you have questions or concerns. Once school starts, you will use this number to report any student absences as well. The school office will be open Monday through Fridays from 8:30-4:00 each day.
