Dear Kindergarten and Discovery Kindergarten Families,
Welcome to Twin Lake Elementary! We are thrilled to have your child joining our school family and can’t wait to begin this exciting journey with you. To help ease the transition into school and get everyone ready for a fantastic year, we invite you and your child to attend our Kinder Kamp on Tuesday, August 19, from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
Here’s what to expect at Kinder Kamp:
9:00 AM – Parents and students will enter the main door and go to the kindergarten classrooms together to meet their child’s teacher and see the learning environment.
Shortly after, parents will be invited to join Mrs. Bennink, the principal, for a special welcome meeting and overview of what to expect in the year ahead.
While parents are in the meeting, students will stay with our kindergarten team for a fun and welcoming introduction to school. They will:
Practice riding the school bus
Play on the playground
Enjoy a snack in the cafeteria
Get to know their new classmates
Get all those first-day jitters out!
11:30 AM – Parents will return to the front office area to pick up their students and take them home full of excitement and confidence for the school year ahead.
Kinder Kamp is a wonderful opportunity to help your child feel comfortable and confident on their first day, and we highly encourage all families to attend. We can’t wait to meet you and begin building strong connections that support your child’s learning and growth.
