The 7th graders couldn’t seem to get things rolling at home against the Sailors. Some missed buckets along with a few missed opportunities dug a hole that they couldn’t escape. The girls played hard and had some bright spots in execution; unfortunately, they couldn’t string enough of them together to gain any momentum. Feisty defense was played by Mariyana Spears, Lorelei Herrygers and Lauren Slater while the team was led by the duo of Raquel Walker and Addison Mitchelson. Walker had a dozen points to go with nine rebounds and five steals. Michelson added five points, five rebounds and three steals of her own. The team has a quick turnaround with another well-coached team from Grand Haven on Wednesday. Come out and support your Rockets!
