Spacing and execution proved to be a tough foe for the Rockets in West Ottawa.
The 7th grade Rockets got off to a slow start and couldn’t seem to find any rhythm against the host Panthers. Through all the adversity, they managed to pull things together in the second half after Bri Do hit a huge three-pointer to cut the lead to six; unfortunately, they couldn’t seem to string enough big plays together despite playing well as a team. A very balanced scoring attack had Ashlyn David, Wren Tryska, Charitee Jones and Gracie Callender leading the way. After struggling in the first half rebounding, David, Jones and Callender decided to own the glass with seven, six and five rebounds respectively. Jaslynn Kops helped get some defensive pressure brewing with three steals. The final week of the season brings Mona Shores in on Wednesday and Grand Haven on Monday. Be sure to support your Rockets as they try to close out an a wonderful season.
