The 8th grade lady Rockets competed against a tough Jenison Wildcats team on Monday night. The talented Wildcats stormed out to a 23 to 7 lead after the 1st quarter and never looked back. The final score was RP 25 and Jenison 57. Although the final score does not show it the Rockets did a lot of very good things on Monday night. The team has been getting better especially rebounding the basketball. The Rockets improved their scoring by scoring 17 more than they did their first time against Jenison. The Rockets will take on Muskegon tomorrow at Muskegon. Leading scorers were Carlee Bowen with 2 points. Amani Starr with 2 points. Taylor Long with 2 points. Maya VandenBosch with 4 points. The leading scorer was Emma Lamphere with 15 points.
