Track and Field

The girls and guys track teams went up against a solid Holland Christian team last Friday and unfortunately were not able to come away with a win. There were however a lot of great performances and some personal records set. First place finishers for the Rockets were: Tacarri Rule in the 70 meter dash, Marvin Moore in the 200 meter dash, Elliot Schneider and Adrienne Fluette in the 400 meter dash, Sam Hillin and Mya Swain in the shot put, the 400 meter relay team of Dain Miller, Owen Ritsema, Sam Hillin, and Elliot Schneider for the boys and Maddy Smith, Lainey McDaniels, Kiera Ketner, and Jenna Terpstra for the girls, and the 800 meter relay team of Marvin Moore, Corey Judd, Owen Ritsema, and Cal Millis for the boys and Savannah Lockwood, Kiera Ketner, Chloe Brainard, and Ella Siembida for the girls. Second place finishers for the Rockets were: Tacarri Rule in the 100 meter dash, Cal Millis in the 200 meter hurdles, Marvin Moore in the high jump, Jenna Terpstra in  both the 70 meter dash and 55 meter hurdles, Lainey McDaniels in the 100 meter dash, Savannah Lockwood in the 200 meter dash, Jersi Bilek in the 1600 meter run, Chloe Brainard in the 200 meter hurdles, and Avery Luna in the shot put. Third place finishers for the Rockets were: Dain Miller in the 70 meter dash, Corey Judd in the 200 meter dash, Zayden Schneider in the 400 meter dash, Cal Millis in the 55 meter hurdles, Elliot Schneider in the high jump, Madilynn Smith in the 100 meter dash, Jersi Bilek in the 800 meter run, Ashley Bradley in the 55 meter hurdles, Adrienne Fluette in the 200 meter hurdles and long jump, and Imani Lane in the shot put. Great job Rockets! The girls and guys track teams are back in action today as they take on West Ottawa at home.
