The Rockets Came Out Victorious Over the Scrappy Hosts of Holland Christian

Solid team defense shut down the Maroons’ offense in the second quarter, and the Rockets never looked back as they cruised to a big road win. Jersi Bilek electrified the offense with a game high nine points which were generated by her feisty defensive play that created a team high six steals. Mallorie Messer followed her lead with five steals of her own to go with nine points and six rebounds. Maya VandenBosch kept doing what she does best and hauled in seven rebounds to pair with her four points. Emma Lamphere had a steady game of her own with four points, three boards and five steals. Hope Latsch provided consistent defensive support while Sophia Wathen quietly had her best performance of the season. The girls are gradually realizing the importance of the team concept which was vividly displayed by their best offensive execution of the season. Great work at being patient and trusting your teammates.
