Nerves Get the Best of the Rockets Against Shores
The 7th grade Rockets just couldn’t find the hot hand against a very dogged Mona Shores defense. The defensive pressure was just too much for the inexperience despite a very positive team effort and attitude. Offensively the girls were paced by Sara Carlson, Mallorie Messer and Mairyn Peterson. Maya VandenBosch continued to shine on the defensive end with three rebounds and three steals. Overall, it was a very frustrating night as they continue to have moments of basketball brilliance but can’t seem to put it all together. Luckily, there is still time in the season to make that happen as Grand Haven is the next test after a few days to regroup.
