The 7th Grade Rockets Faced an Up-Hill Battle Against a Solid Hudsonville Squad

It was a bold strategy by the Rockets to spot an undefeated Hudsonville team a bunch of unanswered points in the first half, but the girls refused to yield as they mounted another second half comeback. Behind a big three-pointer by Sara Carlson and the hot hand of Emma Lamphere, the Rockets began to inch their way back into the game. Maya VandenBosch was an unrelenting force on the boards with six rebounds and superb boxing out skills. Mallorie Messer was a defensive thorn in the side of the Eagle attack with three steals. Unfortunately, it was a second straight game where the girls simply dug too big of a hole to get out of as they dropped their second straight road game. Now it is time to get a practice or two under their belt and to regroup for three big games next week.
