The 8th grade team hosted a quad against Mona Shores, Hudsonville-Riley and Zeeland Creekside Saturday. There was some great competition and the Rockets played tough. The first match against Mona Shores went into the 3rd game, and the Sailors ultimately won the match. Scores were 16-25, 25-18 and 12-15. The Rockets faced Hudsonville in the second match and the Eagles took the match in 2 games. Scores were 6-25 and 16-25. The last match of the day was against Zeeland Creekside. The girls played hard but lost in the 3rd game. Scores were 25-15, 20-25 and 11-15. Overall it was an amazing day of volleyball for all teams. Hudsonville Riley won the quad after a tight win against Mona Shores. Leading the day offensively for the Rockets were Maddilyn Dyer and Grace Darke with some great assists at the net. Ella Siembida put down 9 kills, Alissa Klopp had 5 kills and 3 blocks, Chloe Brainard had 2 kills and Jenna Terpstra, Aubree Wilks, Mya Swain and Hanna Potts each contributed a kill. The Rockets face Hudsonville-Riley at home on Tuesday for their last game of the season! Go Rockets!
