Offensive Struggles Continue for the 7th Graders
Despite a solid team effort and a balanced scoring attack, the 7th grade Rockets could not overcome the individual effort of the visitors from East Kentwood. Jenna Terpstra led the team in scoring with nine points and was supported by teammates Maddilynn Dyer, Kyleigh Bilek, Kiera Ketner, Savannah Lockwood, Madison Ingersoll, and Mya Swain who all also made their way into the scorebook with big buckets. The girls worked hard on the boards as Swain led the team with eight rebounds while Bilek hauled in six and Dani Balaskovitz grabbed four of her own. Defensively, the girls simply couldn’t close the gaps and squeeze the ball. However, Bilek, Terpstra, Lockwood and Chloe Brainard were able to generate twelve steals. Next up for the Rockets are the Muskegon Big Reds.
