8th Grade girls defeat Mona Shores
The Lady Rockets got off to a slow start in their first game of the season. The team fell behind the visiting Sailors of Mona Shores by a touchdown 7 to 0. The team settled in to playing basketball and outscored Mona Shores 14 to 2 in the 2nd quarter to take a 5 point lead. The team continued their dominance in the 2nd half by outscoring the Sailors 18 to 7. The 34-18 victory was a great start to the season. The girls have a home game vs Hamilton on Monday.
