Rockets victorious over Fruitport
The 8th grade Rockets came out strong against visiting Fruitport last night. The team fired on all cylinders and took a commanding 44 to 9 lead at the half. Great execution and shooting lead to the big advantage. As the 3rd quarter was ending and the Rockets still in full control leading 53 to 9 the chant of "John" "John" "John" started. With the Rockets in full control, Coach Pallett inserted team managers Dylan Panozzo and John Underwood to start the 4th quarter. Both players had opportunities to score in the 4th quarter but it was John Underwood who stole the show. John drained a 3 pointer with just a few seconds left to send the crowd into a frenzy and give the Rockets a 58 to 9 victory. Thanks to a great student section for making it a memorable night. The team plays against rivals Mona Shores and Muskegon before ending their season at home versus East Kentwood next Wednesday.
