7th Grade Recap:
The RPMS 7th Grade Volleyball team played a tough road game on Wednesday night battling the Wildcats of Jenison. Our Rockets lost the first set 18-21, contained their emotions, and pulled out on top of the second set winning 21-13, proving their serving game to be effective which took the full team's effort. The Wildcats returned to take the third set 12-21 with their resilient serving offense.
Wednesday's leaderboard:
- Mackenzie Danz: 11pts serving with 3 aces.
- Lexie Danz: 7pts serving and 7 digs.
- Josie Carr: 5pts serving.
- Briley Ames-Cook: 5pts serving.
- Makayla Jewett: Showing off some great passing skills with 5 perfect passes.
Coach Lear would like to thank Emercyn Carpenter for her knockout attitude, ambition, and dedication to the 7th-grade team as her effort doesn’t go unnoticed! “Although the team didn't leave with a win Wednesday night, we can't wait to showcase our serving madness as we head into Monday's meeting against the Spring Lake Lakers”, Lear said.
8th Grade Recap
The 8th Grade Volleyball team came up short on Wednesday against Jenison. They battled hard, but just couldn't come up with the win.
Leaders for the night:
- Kayleigh Brown with 3 kills.
- Peyton Radel with 2 kills, and 1 block.
- Addie Whitaker with 2 kills.
