The 7th-grade football team played a solid game Wednesday night, defeating the Fruitport Trojans 18-6.  This took a full team effort in addition to some key performances for the Rockets. The team led 18-0 going into the 4th quarter with Davionne Bartee and Brayden McBride finding their way to the endzone.

Teammates celebrate after finding their way to the endzone.

While they hoped to secure a shutout win, they gave up a late 4th-quarter touchdown, but the Trojans could not manage to score again due to a defensive effort by Janiya Jerdine and the rest of the 7th-grade Rockets!

Rockets maintain defensive presence to limit scoring from Trojans.

The team will be returning home on Wednesday, September 27th against Mona Shores. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 PM with 8th grade to follow. Way to go Rockets!
