On Thursday evening, the RPMS Track and Field program competed against Baldwin Street Middle School (Hudsonville) and Muskegon in their first track meet of the season at Rocket Stadium. Under a new structure of leadership, the Rockets approached race day ready to compete.
Girls Team:
Leading the way for the girls were: Raquel Walker, Addi Mitchelson, Sidney Shackelford, Zoey Smith, Ivanna Kass, Darcey Keefe, Wren Tryska, Carson Vandelann, Izabel Vanderlaan, Sophia McCollum, Gabrielle Chevez, Eriyan Leek, Allison Clemens, Emmarie Siembida, Jaiden Marshall, Gracie Calendar, and Jailynn Zuniga.
1st place finishes in the following events:
- 100m Dash: Raquel Walker (13.06)
- 70m Dash: Addison Mitchelson (9.39)
- 200m Dash: Zoey Smith (28.70)
- 400m Dash: Ivanna Kass (1:14.91)
- 4x200m Relay: Raquel Walker, Emmarie Siembida, Jaiden Marshall, Gracie Calendar
- Shot Put: Sidney Shackleford (23' 10.5)
Boys Team: Strong performances came from the following boys: Evan McCollum, Londyn Carpenter, Bryce Muskovin, Landon Howland, Brayen Sorensen, Lyric Stewart, Jaxon Lee, Rodney Walker, Jaiden Lee, Ethan Rolewicz, and Jonathan Visscher.
1st place finishes in the following events:
- 55m Hurdles: Rodney Walker (9.60)
- 200m Hurdles: Lyric Stewart (29.56)
- 4x200m Relay: Londyn Carpenter, Brayen Sorensen, Easton Roberts, Bryce Muskovin
