It had been a week and a half without games and snowed out practices, and the 7th graders were not able to overcome that time off. Despite a strong first half and early third quarter against the visiting Panthers, the Rockets were not able to pull it together to get over the hump. Raquel Walker led the Rockets in scoring with thirteen points while Addison Mitchelson chipped in grabbing seven boards and getting five steals while pulling top duty by trying to slow down West Ottawa’s best player. Also helping out the Rockets was solid defensive play by Addison Whitaker, Lorelei Herrygers and Zoey Smith. The team looks to recover against Muskegon at home.
