The Rockets blew open the game with three goals in the last 12 minutes of the first half, from Connor Simerick, a third from Carpenter, and Matthew Hansen.

R-P led 5-0 at halftime.
Carpenter and Camden Beck finished things off by each scoring a goal in the second half. Kelloggsville broke the shutout with a goal late in the game.
Chase Hoeft totaled three assists for the Rockets while Simerick, Hansen, Paco Baquero and Landon Nash each had one.
“The boys really moved the ball well and executed the game plan at a high level, I thought,” said R-P head coach Kody Harrell. “Still plenty to clean up, but it was definitely refreshing to see our kids playing at a level we know they can play at.
“Like we always say, this time of year is when we start turning it on and really getting our philosophy of play executed at a higher level, and we’re ready to compete.”
