Sophia McCollum and the Reeths-Puffer girls golf team kept their late-season hot streak going on Tuesday.
McCollum finished in first place in the individual standings at the fifth and final O-K Green conference jamboree of the season, played at R-P’s home Lincoln Golf Club.
She helped the Rockets to a second-place finish in the team standings.
McCollum shot a 38 and finished one shot ahead of Byron Center’s Leah Lehnerts and Jenison’s Kylie Coffey.

It was McCollum’s third first place finish in one week, She won the individual title at the Greater Muskegon Athletic Association tournament last Tuesday, then tied for first place at the elite Captain Sally tournament in Grand Haven on Monday.
She now has 21 first-place finishes in her varsity career.
McCollum’s fellow R-P seniors also shot very well on Tuesday, which also happened to be Senior Night. Olivia Ambler and Ella Voorhies both shot a 42 and tied for seventh place in the individual standings.
Freshman Abby Davis shot a 48 and finished 15th while junior Kyleigh Brown and freshman Tala Johnson both shot a 50 and tied for 18th place.
The Rockets shot a combined score of 170 and came in second place in the team standings, only two shots behind first-place Byron Center.

Jenison finished third at 180, followed by Caledonia at 181 and Mona Shores at 206.
“As a team we had a lot of good scores tonight,” said R-P head coach Matt Pallett. “My three seniors led the way. All three of them finished in the top ten. My underclassmen also played very well tonight”
“I have been blessed to have my three seniors for all of these years. It was great to see them play well on their last jamboree and senior night. I am proud of the young ladies that they are.”
The Rockets are scheduled to compete in the O-K Green conference championship tournament on Thursday, weather permitting.
“We put ourselves in position tonight to still finish in the top two in our conference,” Pallett said. “With a good showing in the conference finals we can do just that.”
