The Reeths-Puffer girls cross country team had a strong outing on Saturday, winning a second-place trophy at the Oakridge Invitational.
The Rockets totaled 56 points, behind only Fruitport, which scored a 48.
R-P finished ahead of Whitehall (63), Grand River Prep (87), Oakridge (116) and Grand Rapids Union (123).
Freshman Hope Gordon led the charge for the Rockets, powering through the line to take fourth place overall with a career-best time of 21:18.
Following close behind was freshman Harper Roberts, who delivered one of her fastest 5K outings to date. Crossing in 21:40, she finished in seventh place.
Running in the third spot for the Rockets was junior Riley Bordeaux. Despite being completely new to cross country this season, she placed eighth with a personal best time of 21:50.
Senior Darcy Keefe turned in a season-best performance of 23:02 to secure a 13th-place finish, while freshman Kelseas Kent had a personal best time of 26:09 to claim 26th place.
Senior Grace Cosens finished 29th with a personal best time of 27:03. All runners in the top 30 earned tournament medals.
