Junior Elsie Howard, a first-year varsity player, had an impact night for the Reeths-Puffer volleyball team on Thursday.
Howard served up nine aces and totaled 12 assists, leading the Rockets to an easy three-set sweep of Muskegon in O-K Green conference play.
“Elsie Howard had a great night stepping in and being an effective leader for our offense,” said R-P head coach Syann Fairfield. “The girls played well and stuck to their stuff.”
The Rockets were never really challenged., winning by scores of 25-6, 25-11, 25-8.

They rose above the .500 mark, improving their overall record to 9-8-3 and their conference mark to 1-1.
Numerous Rockets contributed to the offensive production, including Peyton Radel with six kills and three aces, Lexie Danz with five kills and three aces and Mackenzie Danz with five kills and two aces.
Leah Zunia served five aces.
R-P will compete in the Whitehall Invitational on Saturday.
