The Reeths-Puffer girls golf team is having a good season so far, but not as good as the Rockets would like it to be.
As head coach Matt Pallett put it, "Our best golf as a team is yet to come."
The Rockets finished in third place on Thursday in the third O-K Green conference jamboree of the season, played at the Muskegon Country Club. They had a team score of 192, behind first-place Byron Center (164) and Jenison (187).

Caledonia was fourth at 204 and Mona Shores was last at 209.
R-P senior Sophia McCollum tied for third place in the individual standings with a 42. Senior Olivia Ambler was eighth overall with a 46.
Senior Ella Voorhies shot a 49, while junior Kayleigh Brown rounded out the R-P scorers with a 55.
Freshmen Tala Johnson (56) and Abby Davis (60) also competed, while freshman Mia Hanichen shot the country club course for the first time, in an exhibition role.

“Each girl had their good moments tonight and moments they had to bounce back from," Pallett said. “I love the fact that my team is never satisfied and wants to get better.
"I have really challenged this group with a very difficult start to our season. Although a little frustrated with their scores at times, they continue to impress me with their work ethic and mental toughness.”
The Rockets will compete in the Greater Muskegon Athletic Association Tournament, popularly known as the city tournament, on Tuesday at Chase Hammond Municipal Golf Course.
