The Reeths-Puffer volleyball team, with only one senior, and several sophomores and juniors playing big roles, has shown real signs of improvement so far this year.
The Rockets are also still experiencing some growth nights, however.
One of those was on Tuesday, when R-P dropped a pair of matches in a multi-team event at Grandville High School.
The Rockets lost to Grandville 25-19, 25-12 and West Ottawa 25-21, 25-20.
Sophomore Kate Tindall had a night to remember, recording 32 assists to get past the 1,000-assist career mark in only her second year of varsity.

Peyton Radel led the R-P attack with 10 kills. Addison Dieters served three aces.
Defensively, Leah Zuniga had 28 digs while Tindall added 11.
“Today was a roller coaster,” said R-P head coach Syann Fairfield. “We are still finding our holes and figuring out ways to fill them. The girls always stick together and encourage each other. I'm always proud of them, no matter the outcome.”
Reeths-Puffer, now 8-8-3 on the season, will return to action on Thursday at home against Muskegon in O-K Green conference action.
