Reeths-Puffer goalie Evan McCollum was busy again on Friday night, and did a good job again, like he has in every game this season.
But the sophomore wasn’t perfect, and the Rockets couldn't get its offense going, in a 2-0 road loss to East Grand Rapids in a non-conference soccer matchup.
East Grand Rapids scored its goals midway through the first and second half.

McCollum faced 10 shots overall and stopped eight. R-P had five shots on goal and failed to convert.
“East Grand Rapids was a very well organized team,” said R-P head coach Kody Harrell. “We battled and had chances, but we just weren’t opportunistic, like we were on Wednesday night.”
Harrell credited Andrew Eilers and Jax Sieplinga for their play at center back, Ben Clark for his play at outside back, and Evan McHugh for his offensive efforts.
The Rockets, now 1-2-1 on the season, will host Mona Shores in a big rivalry matchup on Tuesday before traveling to face a good Fruitport squad on Wednesday.
