The Rockets added three runs in the second inning on RBI singles by Tessa Ross and Jacobs, then two more in the fifth when Lainey McDaniel scored on an error and Lorelei Herrygers scored on a passed ball.
McDaniel pitched the win, scattering seven hits with seven strikeouts in six innings. She did not give up an earned run.
Ava Gibbs collected two hits for R-P while Ross drew three walks. The Rockets had 10 walks in the game and stole four bases.
“It was a great way to close out our home games for the season,” said R-P head coach Sarah Bayle. "I'm overall very proud of our girls playing a complete game. I think we can still fine-tune some things, and that's now where our focus shifts as we prepare for districts.”
