The Reeths-Puffer softball team traveled to Jenison and got a nice win on Tuesday, but lost the second game of the doubleheader.
The two games marked the end of the O-K Green conference season. The Rockets finished in second place behind champion Byron Center.
The Rockets won the opener over Jenison 14-3.

The game was tied 3-3 after one inning, then R-P scored two runs apiece in the third, fourth and fifth innings, three in the sixth and two in the seventh.
Tessa Ross led the offensive explosion with four hits – two singles and two doubles. Olivia Ambler hit her first career home run, added a single and double and knocked in four runs.
Lorelei Herrygers totaled three singles and Lainey McDaniel added two.
McDaniel earned the win on the mound, scattering six hits while striking out five.

The situation was much different in Game 2, however, with the Rockets falling 13-8, despite pounding out 13 hits.
R-P led 3-0 after one inning, 5-1 after two and 7-5 after three, but then Jenison took control with eight runs in a huge fourth inning.
Carlie Guikema had a homer, two singles and one double for the Rockets. Makayla Jewett had a single and a triple, Herrygers added two singles and Madi Reichert hit a single and a triple.
R-P, now 20-6 on the season, will host Zeeland East in a non-conference doubleheader on Thursday.
