The very young, sophomore dominated Reeths-Puffer baseball team dropped an O-K Green conference doubleheader to Caledonia on Tuesday, but continued to show a lot of poise at the varsity level.
That was particularly true in Game 1, which the Rockets lost 6-5 in a back-and-forth battle.
Reeths-Puffer took a 1-0 lead after two innings of play, but a two-run fourth inning gave the Fighting Scots the lead.
In the top of the fifth, R-P’s Brendan Guikema hit an RBI double to tie the game at 2-2 before a two-run single by Tyler Scanlan gave Reeths-Puffer a 4-2 lead.
