The Reeths-Puffer girls soccer team broke a two-game losing streak, and a two-game scoreless streak, with an 8-0 victory over Muskegon on Tuesday.

Jaslynn Kops and Sara Carlson led the R-P scoring parade with two goals apiece.

Abby Hill, Lexie Danz, Ashlynn David and Mallorie Messer each added single tallies for the Rockets.

Kops and Ashley Bradley each had two assists while David, Hill and Gracie Callender each had one.

Kops now has 10 goals and seven assists on the season.

The game ended early due to the eight-goal mercy rule.

"It was nice to see the girls back out on the field, they had a nice pep in their step!" said R-P head coach Cody Harrell, whose team was idle over spring break. "Moving quickly, playing the ball quickly - quick and quality decisions all around.

"Excited to see what we do these next five weeks to prepare for playoffs."

The Rockets. now 4-2 overall and 1-0 in conference play, will visit Caledonia for a big O-K Green matchup on Thursday.
