The Reeths-Puffer girls soccer team got its season off to a strong start on Saturday with an exciting 2-1 road victory over West Ottawa in a non-conference matchup.

It was a great way for the Rockets to erase the memories of last year’s start, when they lost seven straight before winning a game.

The star of the game was junior forward Jaslynn Kops, who scored the first goal and had an assist on the game-winner.
