The Reeths-Puffer girls basketball team is heating up at the right time of the season.
The Rockets used a big third quarter to overcome a deficit and win their third straight game, 43-41 over Grandville on Tuesday.
R-P is now 9-9 on the season with only three games left before districts begin.
The Rockets led 7-5 after a quiet first quarter, then Grandville soared ahead, outscoring R-P 16-6 in the second quarter to take a 21-13 halftime lead.

The Rockets responded with a big quarter of their own in the third, outscoring the Bulldogs 21-8 and grabbing a 34-29 advantage headed into the fourth.
Grandville had a 12-9 edge in the final quarter, but R-P was able to hang on for the win. Trinity Moore hit a clutch triple and Grace Tindall had two key free throws late in the game.
“We played a strong defensive game tonight, handling Grandville’s full-court pressure and converting opportunities into easy baskets,” said R-P head coach Rodney Walker. “Our execution was solid overall, though we still want to improve ball movement on offense. In crunch time, we trusted the game plan and finished strong.”
Raquel Walker led R-P with 17 points while Ashlyn David added 14.
