Sometimes the Reeths-Puffer girls basketball team has just one bad quarter that costs it the chance to win games, and that was the case on Friday night.
The Rockets played Caledonia even for most of the game, but a nine-point deficit in the second quarter proved costly in a 43-33 O-K Green conference loss on the road.
R-P trailed 15-11 after one quarter, then was outscored 11-2 in the second and trailed 26-13 at halftime
The Rockets regained their form in the third quarter, outscoring the Fighting Scots 14-11 and narrowoing their deficit to 37-27.

The fourth quarter was even, however, with each team scoring just six points.
R-P, which has lost three straight games, is now 6-9 overall and 1-6 in conference play.
“I thought we played well defensively,” said R-P head coach Rodney Walker. “We have to find a way to execute down the stretch. I thought Caledonia did a good job of creating turnovers and capitalized offensively, getting layups for easy baskets, which was the deciding factor of the game. "
Ashlyn David continued her recent scoring surge by putting up 12 points for the Rockets.
Raquel Walker snagged nine rebounds while Trinity Moore added four. Jaslynn Kops recorded three assists and Abrianna Do had two steals.
