The Reeths-Puffer girls bowling team got a victory, and experienced a lot of good sportsmanship, in a 30-0 win over Muskegon on Wednesday in O-K Green conference action.
The Rockets built a 10-point lead by winning both baker games and the two baker bonus points.
They added another 10 points by winning both regular games and the two regular game bonus points.
R-P’s final 10 points came from the individual matchups. Kylie Riner, Jaden Husted, Sam Cryderman, Destani Villalpando and Kaila Uhlig each won both of their matchups, earning two team points apiece.
Sam Cryderman, who bowled the high game of the night for the Rockets.
Cryderman had the high score in Game 1 with a 133 while Uhlig was tops in Game 2 with a 132.
While R-P head coach Karla Buchan was happy with the win, she was more happy with the way the two teams related to each other during the match.
“The real story was the support the two rival teams showed for each other,” the coach said. “Muskegon cheered on the R-P girls' strikes and spares. The R-P girls helped the Muskegon girls make adjustments, leading to higher scores for their second game, and cheered them on as well, truly demonstrating the Rocket way.”
