Hayden Taylor extended his hot streak to three games by scoring two goals in the Reeths-Puffer hockey team's 5-2 victory over Forest Hills Northern on Saturday.
Taylor has now scored eight goals in the last three games and has a team-leading 13 on the season.
The Rockets have now won six of their last seven games and are 8-4-1 on the season.
R-P took control right away with three unanswered goals in the first period, from Dom Switzer about five minutes into the game, Taylor less than a minute later, and Tyler Cuti with 8:31 left in the period.
Forest Hills Northern outscored the Rockets 2-1 in the second period and R-P led 4-2 heading into the third. Taylor had R-P’s goal in the second.

R-P’s Connor Anderson found the the net early in the third period to ice the win for Reeths-Puffer.
Goalie Bear VanDyke got the win, stopping 26 of 28 shots. Taylor and Eil Cuti each had two assists while Switzer and Chase Strunk each added one.
“It was a grind-it-out, tough-nosed road win and I loved every minute of it,” said R-P head coach Bill Zalba. “The guys battled with everything they had left in the tank. I couldn’t be prouder of this group. We live by three words now – intensity, accountability and consistency. They brought each of those tonight.”
The Rockets will be off until Dec. 30, when they will match up with rival Mona Shores at Trinity Health Arena.
