The Reeths-Puffer boys bowling team has a lot of weapons, and you never know which Rocket may be hot on any given night.
On Thursday it was seniors Karsen Boeskool and Ryleigh Beebe, who both had two-game series scores well over 400 and led R-P to a decisive 25-5 victory over Zeeland (a combination of Zeeland East and Zeeland West) in non-conference action.
The match started out slowly for the Rockets, who lost the first baker game, but won the second and the bonus points and emerged from the round with a 6-4 lead.

R-P took control in the regular games, winning Game 1 by a score of 934-678 and Game 2 by a score of 926-662. The two victories gave the Rockets eight more points, compared to none for Zeeland.
Boeskool, Beebe, Carter Hekkema and Tanner Bahr each won their individual matchups in Game 1, earning four more points for R-P. Boeskool rolled a 228 game while Beebe had a 209 score.
Boeskool, Beebe, Hekkema, Bahr and Liam Copenhaver won their matchups in Game 2, adding four more points. Beebe rolled a 226 and Boeskool came in at 215.
Ryleigh Beebe
The Rockets also earned two bonus points for winning the overfall pin battle in the two regular games.
“Today was another really good all around performance by our five seniors,” said R-P head coach Craig Alderink. “The strength and experience of our team continues to show. This team is very well-rounded. Any of them can step up and lead the team with the best scores of the day.
“Karsen and Ryleigh both struggled a little bit in the baker games but were able to turn it around and bowl the best scores in the individual games.”
