The final goal ended the game under the eight-goal margin mercy rule.
Kalamazoo dropped to 1-9 on the season.
‘It’s been a rough start for them,” R-P head coach Bill Zalba said about the Kalamazoo team. “What I wanted us to do is go out and take care of business like we should. In the past sometimes we would play down to the level of some of our opponents, instead of playing like we can. I’m glad were were able to play our game tonight.”
The Rockets will square off against Grand Haven on Friday at 5 p.m. at Lakeshore Sports Centre.
