The Reeths-Puffer volleyball team continues to struggle with the top teams from the O-K Green conference.
The Rockets took on Byron Center, the No. 5 ranked team in the state in Division 1 on Thursday, and fell in three sets.
The scores were 10-25, 13-25, 11-25. The Rockets are now 15-14 overall and 1-4 in O-K Green action.
“The top tier of the O-K Green continues to be tough for us,” said R-P head coach Justin Birr. “We continue to compete and look good in some rallies, then in others we are just outmatched.
Kate Tindall
“I am very proud of our girls for staying positive as a team. Only playing one game per week, and having it be against an extremely tough opponent is tough on morale, but our team has been pretty resilient through it.
“We are looking forward to next Saturday's GMAA tournament to be a better measuring stick for where we fall compared to the rest of the county.
R-P’s Kate Tindall had a pretty good night, offensively and defensively, posting 12 assists and 10 digs.
Lexie Danz and Peyton Radel had five and four kills, respectively. Carlee Bowen registered six digs and Danz had five.
The Rockets will have another tough task on Tuesday when the visit Jenison in another conference match.
