Team victories may be rare for the Reeths-Puffer boys tennis team this fall, but individual wins are becoming more frequent.
The Rockets had their best day of the season so far on Thursday, winning three matches against Whitehall.
All three victories came in singles flights.
Ethan Frang
Ethan Frang (No. 1 singles) defeated Whitehall’s William Burger 6-1, 6-1.
Cory Judd (No. 2 singles) had to fight to win his first set, downing Evan Schuitema 7-6, but then cruised to an easy 6-1 win in the second.

The victories likely secured No. 2 seeds for both Frang and Judd at the upcoming GMAA tournament, according to R-P head coach Ryan Hankinson.
R-P’s Henrik Ketner (No. 4 singles) capped things off by downing Scott Freiheit 6-4, 6-2. It was his first singles win of the season.
The Rockets lost the match 5-3, falling at No. 3 singles and all four doubles flights.
Henrik Ketner
Hankinson was very happy with the way his players, particularly the younger guys, performed in the two duel matches this week.
“Every new player played their best match of the season in both duel matches this week,” he said. “Coach Michael Greeby and I could not be happier with the play of all our young players.”
