No opponents have been able to beat West Ottawa in boys soccer so far this season, and now that list includes Reeths-Puffer.
The Rockets returned from the holiday weekend with a tough 4-0 road loss to the Panthers on Tuesday.
West Ottawa is now 4-0-1 on the season. Reeths-Puffer fell to 6-2-1.
R-P Coach Kody Harrell credited several Rockets for solid play, including Owen Ritsema, Blake Kiel, Trent Plummer, Kaden Vanderlaan and Landon Nash. Goalie Liam Copenhaver stopped 9 of 13 West Ottawa shots.

The Panthers had a 13-5 edge in shots on goal.
”The unfortunate part is we looked like a team who had a few days off for the holiday break, and West Ottawa is a skilled team that will make you pay,” Harrell said. "The good news is, three of their four goals were extremely sloppy on our end that we know are easy fixes, and we look forward to getting back out there!
“We still feel very good about what our season looks like, just kind of a good wake-up call for us that little details make for big results.”
The Rockets will return to action on Thursday with a game at Caledonia.
