The Reeths-Puffer boys golf team has been waiting all spring for things to click, and it's finally happening as the season nears its end.
The Rockets had their best showing against conference opponents this season, taking second place on Monday in the final O-K Green Jamboree, played at The Meadows at Grand Valley State University.
R-P finished with a team score of 167. Mona Shores took first place with a 164 while Caledonia finished third at 168. .
Junior Kristian Brown also had his best conference outing, shooting a 38 and tying for first place individually with Jenison's Brady Pettenger.

Three seniors also performed well. Aiden Waggoner shot a 42 and finished in seventh place. Kye Grant shot a 43 and Ayden Hartzell rounded out the scoring with a 44.
Jamie Neel and Tristan Baker also competed for R-P and both shot rounds of 50.
“This makes back-to-back good outings for the team," said R-P Coach Matt Pallett. "We are starting to find our stride as we start to wrap up the season.
“Tonight's results were very much where I thought this team could be all year. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, we have not played to what I think our potential is.
"I like how the guys feel good about their performance, but are still hungry for more.”
The Rockets will prepare for the postseason by competing in the Katke Classic on Friday and Saturday at Ferris State University.
