It's fun to imagine what Reeths-Puffer freshman Raquel Walker might accomplish by the time she's a senior.

She's already doing a lot of really impressive things as a ninth-grader.

Walker's abilities were on full display at Friday's Greater Muskegon Athletic Association Track Meet at Reeths-Puffer High School.

She took first place in three individual events against some the best track athletes in the area, and was part of an R-P relay team that also won its event.

Walker collected four medals for her efforts, and helped the Reeths-Puffer girls team have a really good day, finishing in second place out of 12 teams in the final standings.

The Rockets totaled 80 points, behind only champion Mona Shores, which piled up 110.

Walker won the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.68, the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.26, and the long jump with a mark of 16 feet, 10.5 inches.

R-P's 4x100 relay team of Walker, Addison Mitchelson, Amani Starr and Melana Johnson also finished in first place with a time of 50.78.

Also taking first was the 4x800-meter relay team of Jersi Bilek, Sophia McCollum, Darcy Keefe Adrienne Fluette with a time of 10:38.76.

Taking second place for R-P and winning a medal was Bilek in the 800-meter run (2:23.74).

The Rockets finished third and medaled in three events.

Addison Mitchelson took third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.03.

R-P's 4x200 relay team of Ivanna Kass, Mitchelson, Bilek and Johnson came in third with a time of 1:50.73, and the Rockets' 4x400 relay team of Kass, Bilek, Darcy Keefe ad Ma'Kaia Riley-McGuffey took third with a mark of 4:32.94.
