Both Reeths-Puffer track teams are pretty young and inexperienced, but the Rockets still have a few seasoned and talented athletes who are going to make their marks.
One is junior Marvin Moore, who is more known for his scoring ability on the R-P basketball team.
Moore won the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.89 on Thursday in the R-P boys team's 99.5-37.5 loss to Byron Center.
R-P did particularly well in that event, with Mason Darke taking second behind Moore and Emcee McLaurin finishing third.
Moore was also part of the R-P team - along with London Rankin, McLaurin and Cole Piper - that won the 4x100 relay with a time of 43.37.

R-P's Matt Grimard won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:17.69
The Rocket boys showed a lot of improvement across the board, setting 42 personal records.
The R-P girls team had less success, falling to Byron Center 119-18.
The lone event winner for the Rockets was Jersi Bilek, who took first place in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:25.72.
The R-P girls set 21 personal records during the competition.
